Pretty desperate to take my new camera out tomorrow. This Christmas has been amazing, I’ve really enjoyed it.

Christmas.
We had a midnight Christmas present opening and my boyfriend got me the most amazing camera. It’s so unique because you advance the film by twisting the lens barrel. I’ve never seen a camera like that before, and the way it loads film is so bizarre; definitely in a good way though. We pulled crackers and I have realised that my head is too big for the little paper hats. Already, this...

Dogs can tell how big another dog is by listening...
“Scientists studied 96 different dogs from a variety of breeds and ages. One group of 24 dogs were shown two images projected onto a screen, one of a large dog, the other a small one. The dogs were then played the recording of growl from either small or large dog which came from between the two images. The dogs were filmed to see which of the images they looked at first and for...

Why I dislike Julian Assange.
The more I read about Julian Assange, the more I dislike him. The more he says, the more I dislike him. It’s hard to like someone when they’re destroying what they supposedly stand for. Instead of the openness that he states should be common place, because of Wikileaks, does he really think openness will be achieved or preserved? Christmas presents.
I’d worked out how much I needed to spend on Christmas presents, and then I remembered at least two other people who will be expecting Christmas presents. Brilliant.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor scared me slightly.
It’s slightly unnerving to go to a gig where an odd dream you have sometimes actually turns out to be a Godspeed gig on loop. It was the oddest gig I’ve ever been to; already slightly creepy music being played over equally scary black and white footage of AIDS patient files, burning buildings, trains, diggers and protests. I didn’t want to go at first, and if I’m honest I...

Blur, and why they're amazing. →
alcatrazhealthclub: Most people have an age-defining band, or at least the startings of one. Mine would be Interpol. I like the lyrics especially, the way they can either spiral gracefully between a million possible meanings or just flat out confound or disgust in their crassness. I like the way it seems entirely… Music was played quite a lot in my house when I was growing up....
